The East Face of Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48, is one of the classic high mountain technical climbs in the Sierra Nevada. It is not too hard, but it has many styles of climbing, and is an excellent climb. It is a hard six mile backpack in, so this trip continues my transition to more backcountry efforts.
