In late July of 2006, I flew to Vancouver and rented a car for a visit to Vancouver Island. I spent the bulk of the time in Strathcona Provinicial Park, which is at the geographic center of the island and contains its highest alpine territory. Much of it is trail-less wilderness, but there are some trails.
After leaving the park I took a short ride to Quadra Island, one of the many islands that fill the water between Vancouver Island and the mainland.
