This is a Rails-to-Trails trail that starts at Lyle in the Columbia River gorge, and goes over 30 miles, through the towns of Klickitat and Wakhiakus. Because of this length, the trail is usually done in sections.The first eight photos start from the bottom or southern end of the trail at Lyle, which I did on my bike. The latter pictures are of the upper section, called Swale Canyon, and were done on a hike guided by the folks who run the Klickitat Trail Conservancy. The last few, in a gorge, are from very near the bottom near Lyle, and include some Yakama salmon fishing platforms.
