Nannie Ridge to southern Goat Rocks
I camped for a couple nights at the campground at Walupt Lake to get a fresh start in the morning up Nannie Ridge in the southern Goat Rocks Wilderness, and a bit north on the PCT. On Nannie Ridge, you pass "the pond" and Sheep Lake, both of which would make good backpacking campsites.
Walupt Lake, from near by car campsite. A nice place to hang out after a hard hike.

It is 2.5 miles up Nannie Ridge, and then 2 more miles along the ridgetop, up and down, and you start to get some views, here of Mt Adams.

The pond, there is a great campsite in those trees on the right.

Just before Sheep Lake there is a high point with a nice view of peaks on the crest.

Sheep Lake, just before the junction with the PCT

The PCT in the southern part of Goat Rocks, approaching the crest.

My lunch spot just after where the PCT crosses to the east side of the crest. The low point ahead is Cispus Pass.

Heading back on the PCT you can see Mt Adams, getting hazy in the afternoon.
