Wallowas Cornucopia Loop

The small settlement of Cornucopia is southeast of the Wallowa Mountains near the town of Halfway. It's not a popular access point but is paved most of the way, avoiding the miles of washboarded dirt roads so common in this area. There are trailheads that make for a great loop and after years of thinking about it, this was the time to go with my friend Betsy. We did four days, with days 1 and 3 being fairly long and hard. Day 2 was a dayhike and day 4 was an easy downhill hike out, for the drive home.
