On the last day driving home from my Yosemite trip, I stopped by at Smith Rocks State Park north of Redmond, OR, for it's classic 4-mile loop hike. Smith Rocks is one of the most famous rock climbing areas in Oregon.
The view from the parking area. The trail on the other side of the Crooked River would be my return.
First it is up the steep and hot Misery Ridge trail.
