The part of the trail we worked on was the southeast region of Mt. St. Helens. The blast zone from the eruption was on the north side, so there is green forest in this area.
Mt. St. Helens in twilight the night before hiking in from my car camp

My camp near June Lake

June Lake is small, but a pretty setting nonetheless, with three waterfalls supplying it's water

The sound of frogs was heard regularly

We finished work each day at 3pm. On the second afternoon, Ryan (trip leader) and I took a nice walk south on the Loowit Trail to this viewpoint

The glacier lilies were in bloom
