Hermit Rock is a spire in the Sierra. It is on top of a ridge and requires a short but intense backpack to get to. This is one of the first times I tried to do a technical climb on a backpacking trip. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate and we did not get to climb the long classic route. We did do a short route on the back side on this trip.
