Part way through day two, I took a left turn on to the trail up Copper Ridge, after crossing Hannegan Peak and descending for a mile. Once on the ridge, the trail goes up and down. I had to stop and descend a couple hundred feet to Egg Lake to get some water, since there is none on the ridge line. Then it is a 1000 foot climb up to where the Copper Ridge Lookout Station sits. Unfortunately there was no ranger to visit with. Then there is a descent down to Copper Lake, where I spent the night. The next day, it is more up and down for a while until finally doing the long 3300 foot descent to the Chilliwack River.

Looking towards Hannegan Peak and Copper Ridge while still hiking up to it.

First site of the lookout station.

Copper Lake

A very nice camp site at Copper Lake.

Storm clouds squeeze over Easy Ridge.

Continue on to the Chiliwack Valley.
