Berg Lake Trail

The Berg Lake Trail is the most popular in the Canadian Rockies, and for good reason. According to the park, it is almost 13 miles and about 2500 feet of altitude gain to the Berg Lake campground.

The first 4 miles of the hike past Kinney Lake is open to mountain bikes on this road

After 3 miles, you get to the start of Kinney Lake, reflecting Whitehorn Mountain here

At the far end of the lake is Kinney Lake Campground, where they have this shelter in case it is raining

The main trail has some ups and downs after that, but for hikers there is a flat alternative across the river gravel plains with these temporary bridges that are in common use in the area

Then crossing the Robson River

Looking back at Kinney Lake. The diagonal line in the lower right is the trail

The next section of the trail is known as the Valley of a Thousand Falls

Fall of the Pools

Emperor Falls

Just past this is Emperor Campground, with some sites right next to the river
