Berg Lake is named for the icebergs that break off the Berg Glacier, but late in this warm summer, there were none floating around.

At first you pass Marmot Campground and then one more mile along the lake gets you to Berg Lake Campground, with it's famous Hargreaves Shelter

I arrived about 2pm, and after setting up camp and relaxing a while, I heading for a short but steep hike up along Toboggan Creek. This leads to Toboggan Falls, which is really a very long cascade, where the creek flows on sloping rock for hundreds of yards

The trail was really steep and rough through here, so I was very surprised above this to find this

The bench seduced me to go no further but to relax in mid-70's sunshine for a half hour and enjoy this view
